Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Use govern your use of the Mystic Medicine School course site at [https://mysticmedicineschool.thinkific.com/courses/] and every course, program, training, and live session offered through it.
Mystic Medicine School is owned and operated by Kat Beck , based in Taylors, South Carolina, USA
By creating an account, purchasing, or using the site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our site runs on Thinkific. Your use of the platform is also subject to Thinkific's own terms.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or enroll.
You agree to give accurate information and keep your login details private. Your account is for you alone. Sharing your login or course access with others is not allowed, and we may suspend accounts that are shared.
You are responsible for all activity under your account. Let us know right away if you suspect someone else is using it.
Purchases, payment plans, and refunds
Prices are listed in US dollars and are due at checkout unless you choose a payment plan.
Payment plans. If you choose a payment plan, you agree to pay every installment, even if you stop participating. Missed payments may pause your course access until your account is current.
Subscriptions and memberships. Recurring plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel anytime from your account, and cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
Refunds.
- All sales are final.
- Trainings re non-refundable once the program begins.
Please do not file a chargeback without contacting us first. We are glad to work things out directly.
Course access and intellectual property
When you purchase a course, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to access it for your own learning.
All course content belongs to Mystic Medicine School and Kat Beck. This includes videos, audio, meditations, written materials, worksheets, methods, and the Movement Medicine Method.
You may not:
- Copy, record, download, or share course content, except where download is offered for your personal use
- Resell, sublicense, or distribute any materials
- Teach, package, or present our content or methods as your own
- Use our materials to create a competing course or program
Practitioner and teacher trainings. Graduates may use what they learned in their own work as permitted in their training agreement. Use of our names, trademarks, or certification titles requires written permission.
We may update, reorganize, or retire course content over time.
Community and live session conduct
Our spaces are for growth, honesty, and care. In comments, community areas, and live calls, you agree to:
- Treat others with respect, even in disagreement
- Keep what others share confidential and never record or screenshot live sessions without permission
- Avoid harassment, hate speech, spam, or self-promotion without permission
- Share only content you have the right to share
You keep ownership of what you post, but you give us permission to display it within the course site.
Live sessions may be recorded and shared with enrolled students. If you prefer not to appear, you may turn off your camera and use a different display name.
We may remove content or remove anyone from a community or session who disrupts the space.
Health and wellness disclaimer
Our courses are educational and spiritual in nature. They are not medical, psychological, or mental health treatment, and they do not replace care from a licensed physician, therapist, or other qualified provider.
Nothing in our content is intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or condition. Always consult your healthcare provider before starting a new movement practice or making changes to your health care, especially if you are pregnant, injured, or managing a health condition.
Energy work, movement medicine, breathwork, and somatic practices can bring up strong physical and emotional experiences. You agree to listen to your body, modify or stop any practice as needed, and take full responsibility for your participation.
While Kat Beck is a licensed massage therapist, online courses do not create a therapist-client relationship and do not include hands-on bodywork.
If you are in crisis, please contact emergency services or a crisis line in your area.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The site and all courses are provided "as is." We do our best to keep the site running smoothly but cannot promise it will always be available or error-free.
We make no guarantee of any particular result. Your experience depends on your own effort, choices, and circumstances. Any testimonials reflect individual experiences and are not promises of what you will achieve.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Mystic Medicine School and Kat Beck are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or courses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the course in question.
Indemnity. You agree to protect and hold harmless Mystic Medicine School and Kat Beck from any claims arising from your misuse of the site, your violation of these Terms, or content you post.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you violate these Terms, including by sharing your account or course content. No refund is owed in that case. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of South Carolina, USA. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Greenville County, South Carolina. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the date at the top, and continued use of the site means you accept the updated Terms.
